Acceptable Use Policy — AI Fact-Checking Services

TruthCheck ("Platform", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to providing a safe, legal, and responsible AI-powered fact-checking service. This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") applies to all content generated, published, disseminated, or stored through our Platform, and establishes our content standards, moderation mechanisms, reporting procedures, and enforcement actions.

1. Scope

This Policy applies to all content forms:

  • Text: AI-generated summaries, credibility reports, verification results
  • Images: Screenshots, uploaded content, AI-processed visuals
  • User Inputs (Prompts): Text, URLs, and instructions submitted for fact-checking
  • Generated Reports: Credibility scores, source analyses, and verification outputs

2. Content Standards and Prohibited Categories

TruthCheck expressly prohibits the use of our Service to generate the following six categories of content:

  • Pornography / NSFW Content
  • Violence / Gore Content
  • Hate Speech
  • Child Safety Issues (CSAM)
  • Deepfakes / Impersonation
  • Copyright / Trademark Infringement

2.1 Zero Tolerance — Immediate Action

The following content will result in immediate action upon discovery, and may be reported to authorities:

  • Child sexual exploitation content (CSAM) or any sexual content involving minors
  • Content promoting or assisting terrorism, extremism, or mass violence
  • Instructions for manufacturing weapons of mass destruction
  • Content advocating or facilitating genocide or ethnic hatred
  • Deepfake sexual content targeting real individuals without consent

2.2 General Prohibited Uses

Additionally, you agree NOT to use the Service to:

  • Generate or spread false information, rumors, or disinformation
  • Impersonate real individuals, brands, or organizations
  • Infringe intellectual property, portrait rights, or privacy rights
  • Present AI-generated content as human-created work
  • Bulk generate spam or fraudulent content
  • Use jailbreak prompts to circumvent Platform security mechanisms
  • Verify false or misleading claims for malicious purposes
  • Create fake verification reports
  • Use our Platform for surveillance purposes

3. Content Moderation Mechanism

The Platform employs a multi-layered moderation system combining "automated moderation + human review + periodic audits".

3.1 Automated Moderation (Real-Time)

All requests and generated content are scanned in real-time by safety filters:

  • Input Filtering: Keyword, semantic, and intent analysis of prompts
  • Output Filtering: Real-time safety assessment of generated content
  • Usage Pattern Analysis: Monitoring for abnormal API usage behavior

Moderation Tools Used: OpenAI Moderation API (see OpenAI Privacy Policy), custom content safety models, and third-party moderation services.

3.2 Human Review

  • Automatically flagged content enters the human review queue
  • User-reported content is reviewed by our Trust & Safety team
  • Review team operates 7×24 hours with trained content safety reviewers
  • All reviewers complete content safety training and sign confidentiality agreements

3.3 Periodic Audits

  • Random sampling review conducted monthly
  • Regular evaluation and optimization of automated moderation system accuracy

4. Reporting Mechanism

  • Content involving child safety, terrorism, or other serious violations
  • Discovery of AI impersonation or infringement of one's own rights
  • Any other situation the Platform deems reportable

4.2 Reporting Principles

  • Confidentiality: Reporter identity is strictly protected
  • Neutrality: All reports undergo independent, objective review
  • Anti-Abuse: Malicious or false reports will be recorded and handled

If extended processing time is needed, we will proactively notify the reporter and explain the reason.

8. Appeal Mechanism

  • Review Method: Re-examined by an independent reviewer not involved in the initial decision

9. Transparency and Policy Updates

  • We publish a content safety transparency report quarterly
  • Material changes will be communicated at least 15 days in advance
  • Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy
